Dharma-Burger! “The “Buddha Lucky Palm Breast Massager.”

We are SO not kidding. See it here, via Gizmodo. (By the way: loved the write-up, Gizmodo). Or, if you’re not the blushing type, you can follow this link for the extra-lovely product shots. You kinda have like the gonzo graphics. For example:
Thanks to the mighty Kin for the heads-up on the BLP.

TIBET IS IMPORTANT. …So keep up to date with these links!
March 14, 2008 · 5 Comments
Well, here we go again. After decades of Chinese oppression of Tibet, after Burma’s incredibly moving (but, likely, ultimately failed) “Saffron Revolution,” the world’s eyes are fixing now upon a moment that seems, eerily, to blend the two. The headline on CNN.com right now? “Tibet in turmoil as riots grip capital.” The homepage text-link to that article reads, simply, “Fed-up Tibetans setting fires in capital,” while the Dalai Lama is calling for “calm dialogue.”
Let’s not let this one fail, Horses. At the very least, keep up with it.
When the Saffron Revolution went down, The Worst Horse started a “Burma is important” update page. We won’t be doing that this time, simply ’cause this blog can replace that. (It’s CERTAINLY not that Tibet is any less “important.”) So stay tuned here for updates.
But there are plenty of other places to find coverage. Here are some of them:
1) Philip Ryan’s postings on the Tricycle Editor’s blog. Not to put too much pressure on ol’ Phil, but it’s all but guaranteed that he will cover this stuff better than anyone else, in terms of short, smart writings, and pointing us all to important breaking news and links.
2) The NY Times Asia/Pacific page.
4) Students for a Free Tibet. Their homepage is constantly updated. And their links page is great, too.
5) Precious Metal. Nate tracks the news, sorting the wheat from the chaff and throwing just enough of his own humanity and personality into the mix.
Please, visit these sites. Bookmark them. Or at least bookmark this post and refer to it. Lastly, be sure to see the Times’ photos from today.

Radio interview with American writer who joined historic walk to Tibet from Dharamsala, India, on March 10th
March 14, 2008 · No Comments
Via The Tibet Connection:
“THE TIBET CONNECTION radio invites you to listen to an interview with Lex Pelger. Lex is a Pennsylvanian writer who joined the 100 Tibetans (mostly monks) who set out to raise global awareness about the plight of their countrymen with an historic walk to Tibet from Dharamsala, India, on March 10th. Lex ended up in a jail cell when all 100 marchers were arrested by
Indian police on the second day. He’s now camped out with a group of Westerners who have begun a hunger strike in solidarity with the marchers.”
